Set after the events of the original Blasphemous’ 2021 update Wounds of Eventide, Blasphemous 2 sees the return of the supernatural entity The Miracle, leaving The Penitent One no choice but to explore a strange unfamiliar world, defeat the monstrosities that lay in wait, and try to stop the prophetic birth of a new miracle child from coming to pass. Coming to Nintendo Switch™, PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S later this year, Blasphemous 2 follows The Penitent One as he awakens in an unfamiliar land, displaced from his final resting place, and thrust back into the endless cycle of life, death, and resurrection.

Thursday, 20 th April 2023 – Team17 Digital and The Game Kitchen have premiered the very first look of Blasphemous 2 during last night’s Indie World Showcase. You can check out the gameplay trailer above and read below for more details: At todays Indie World showcase hosted by Nintendo, there was a new trailer for Blasphemous 2, a sequel to the Metroidvania game developed by The Game. In Blasphemous 2 the Penitent One must explore an unfamiliar world to stop the prophetic birth of a new miracle child from coming to pass. Blasphemous 2 is set a while after the events of the first Blasphemous’s Wounds of Evertide update.

The sequel to 2019’s critically acclaimed hit Blasphemous is set to release later this year on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
